Hanare (Rijinkyo) Japanese Traditional Cottages

Rijinkyo is of 7 separate cottages, Japanese traditional one-story sukiya-style buildings for tea ceremony. You can feel the spirit of harmony "wa" and enjoy traditional cultures of this country and the excellent skills of the craftpersons including "hiroen," a broad veranda, "shouji" and "fusuma," sliding doors, "koshi," a lattice, "rankan," a balustrade and "tokonoma," an alcove in which beautiful "kakejiku," a hanging scroll with a painting or calligraphy on it and a vase of arranged flowers are placed.
Each room has a hot-spring bath whose bustub is made of koyamaki-wood or zaoseki-stone, and you can also enjoy the view of the garden from there as well as from "hiroen." The type of the bath can be chosen from open-air, semi open-air or indoor.

We also have contemporary rooms with beds and a dining table for modern lifestyle. The simple and elegant styles of the rooms with Japanese tastes will make you feel comfortable.
